Job Title: Junior Accountant (AU Market)
Salary: AUD 1,200 to 1,800 per month (commensurate with skills and experience)
Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM AEST

Role Overview:
As a Junior Accountant, you will play a crucial role in managing the core financial operations of our organization across international markets. You will take complete ownership of Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and Payroll, while also supporting month-end reporting and ensuring financial compliance.
The ideal candidate will be a detail-oriented and highly organized finance professional capable of juggling multiple tasks in a dynamic Fast-Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) environment, maintaining both accuracy and efficiency, while fostering strong communication across departments.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Accounts Payable (35%):
- Manage the end-to-end process of Accounts Payable, ensuring timely payment of invoices as per agreed terms.
- Oversee the accounts inbox and promptly address supplier inquiries.
- Accurately process supplier invoices with the correct GL and tax coding.
- Collaborate with internal departments for invoice approvals.
- Prepare and upload supplier payments through the banking portal.
- Reconcile supplier statements and company credit card transactions.
Accounts Receivable (35%):
- Maintain the Accounts Receivable portfolio, ensuring prompt collection of outstanding invoices.
- Work closely with the Sales team to review and process retailer claims.
- Issue account statements and follow up on overdue payments.
- Conduct daily bank reconciliations and cash allocation.
- Assist in cash flow forecasting based on anticipated receipts.
Reporting & Month-End (15%):
- Prepare and maintain reconciliations for the general ledger.
- Generate weekly AR/AP reports outlining overdue items and action plans.
- Support month-end close and preparation of journal entries.
- Assist with ad hoc management reporting.
- Contribute to the enhancement of finance processes and systems.
Payroll (15%):
- Maintain accurate employee records.
- Prepare monthly payroll summaries and upload payment files.
- Monitor leave balances and maintain leave records.
- Submit payroll tax filings and quarterly superannuation payments.
- Handle WorkCover filings.
Requirements:
Experience & Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance (mandatory).
- 2 to 3 years of experience in finance/accounting.
- Experience in FMCG and/or retail industries is preferred.
- Familiarity with Xero and Cin7 is highly regarded.
- CPA or CA qualification (or progression towards it) is advantageous.
