As a Medical Records Technician, you will be provided with company laptops and portable scanners to travel to various medical facilities and hospitals, where you will be responsible for scanning patient medical records.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain a systematic record-keeping process for patient information and document collection
- Ensure medical records are meticulously organized, accurate, and comprehensive
- Create digital versions of physical documents and systematically store records electronically
- Efficiently file paperwork and reports
- Adhere to HIPAA compliance standards
- Utilize electronic systems to collect, organize, and manage data effectively
- Follow confidentiality protocols, rules, and procedures
- Engage with medical staff, healthcare providers, and other medical personnel
Requirements:
Compensation Package:
- $18-$21 per hour or $3 per record.
- Paid semi-monthly based on total hours worked or total records retrieved (whichever is greater)
- Reimbursement for travel mileage
- Partial reimbursement for travel expenses
- Daily food allowance of $50 when traveling out of state
- Coverage for flight, hotel, and rental car (when necessary)
Desired Qualifications:
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
- Possession of a vehicle with active insurance (candidates must provide registration documentation)
- Home internet access
- Willingness to travel up to 60-80 miles or more (round-trip)
- Basic skills in PC and office equipment
- Familiarity with file copying, sharing, and transferring
- Intermediate understanding of medical chart structures and terminologies
*This position is seasonal, with part-time to full-time hours available, and may extend based on project demands.
