Purpose
As an integral member of our Technology team, the IT Support Analyst plays a vital role in ensuring our infrastructure and hardware operate smoothly during peak warehouse and twilight hours. This position serves as a critical link between standard office operations and late-night logistics, providing hands-on technical support and proactive maintenance when the primary team is off-duty.
Shift Operations
- Twilight Support: Deliver specialized assistance to warehouse personnel and management from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM.
- Weekend Oversight: Be the primary technical contact during weekend shifts, ensuring all systems remain operational for order processing.
- Daily Handover: Participate in a 30-minute sync at 12:00 PM with the Senior IT Support Analyst to review active tickets and priorities.
Requirements
Hardware & Infrastructure Management
- Workstation Setup: Configure and deploy laptops, desktops, and mobile devices for staff.
- Networking: Manage office and warehouse cabling (Cat6), patch panels, and ensure WiFi access points are efficiently positioned and operational.
- Peripheral Management: Oversee office essentials, including printers, scanners, CCTV cameras, and AV equipment in meeting rooms.
- Asset Management: Maintain an accurate inventory of all company hardware and software licenses.
Internal Technical Support
- First-Line Support: Serve as the initial contact for staff technical issues, including computer troubleshooting, password resets, and software installations.
- Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve connectivity issues, hardware malfunctions, and bugs in internal tools.
- Escalation: Identify complex issues for escalation to the Senior IT Support Analyst, providing clear diagnostic notes.
Systems Administration & Security
- User Provisioning: Establish new users in Microsoft 365 and manage folder permissions.
- Security Compliance: Ensure all devices have current antivirus software, OS patches, and comply with company security policies.
- Documentation: Create simple user guides for staff (e.g., “How to configure label printers”).
Testing of New Systems and Hardware
- Software Testing: Physically test new software systems and provide feedback to developers and quality assurance teams.
- Hardware Testing: Ensure all devices are suitable for use before deployment.
