What’s the Opportunity?
We are seeking a passionate iOS Engineer to enhance our mobile Messenger strategy, working on our iOS Messenger SDK, which is already integrated into thousands of apps and utilized by millions. As part of a collaborative team of mobile engineers, product managers, and designers, you'll have the chance to influence and innovate across our mobile offerings.
Your role will focus on developing a visually stunning Messenger SDK, delivering top-notch UI/UX for our extensive user base while exploring deeper functionalities within the iOS ecosystem.
How Mobile Development Works at Intercom
We foster an autonomous working environment within our mobile teams, including iOS, Android, and full-stack engineers, alongside designers and product managers. You will be engaged in end-to-end problem-solving, collaborating closely with your peers to launch new products. While your primary focus will be on the iOS codebase, a willingness to learn and understand the complete system and customer journey is essential.
Our iOS Messenger SDK transitioned from Objective C to Swift this year, with all new features being developed in Swift.
The mobile team works hand-in-hand with other departments to deliver a wide array of features. As experts in mobile platforms, we guide and elevate other teams in adapting their offerings for mobile solutions.
At Intercom, we value speed and learning through action. We have an efficient CI setup with comprehensive unit testing using XCTest and an extensive suite of XCUITests to ensure our UI is robust. This strong testing coverage empowers us to move swiftly and deploy new features confidently.
