The Team:
The Legal Team at AQR collaborates with various internal groups to support our diverse platform of strategies and products.
Your Role:
We are seeking a skilled individual to join our Legal team as an Investment Funds and Corporate Paralegal.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Assist the Legal team with a wide range of legal tasks related to corporate governance and fund-specific initiatives.
- Utilize established templates to draft standard legal documentation for regulatory, state, and foreign filings.
- Prepare corporate governance documents, including Board and committee agendas, notices, resolutions, and minutes, while coordinating the preparation and distribution of Board meeting materials.
- Support the drafting, review, and coordination of formation, operating, and offering documentation for the firm’s corporate entities and investment funds, including side letters and other agreements.
- Manage the Legal team’s document retention system, organizing and electronically filing corporate and investment fund-related documents, agreements, and offering materials, while maintaining the firm’s register of existing and new investment funds in our proprietary relationship management system.
- Assist with the preparation and filing of Registration Statements and other regulatory documents for the firm’s registered investment companies.
- Respond to investor questionnaires, requests for proposals, and other inquiries from clients and service providers.
- Facilitate the establishment of custody and trading accounts for the firm and its investment funds.
