Join our dynamic team as an Internal Sales Consultant specializing in Food Service and Catering Equipment. We are looking for an enthusiastic individual who is passionate about sales and customer service.
The successful candidate will possess prior experience in Food Service or Catering equipment sales, or have a background in showroom sales with similar technical products.
This role requires you to cultivate and maintain relationships with existing clients while expertly guiding them through the sales process from initial inquiry to final purchase.
Location: Stikland, Cape Town
Schedule: Monday – Friday, 08:00-16:30
Reports to: Sales Team Manager
Key Responsibilities:
Sales
- Provide comprehensive sales support within the showroom, including needs analysis and product demonstrations.
- Foster and enhance relationships with current distributors and end-user customers.
- Engage with potential clients such as restaurant owners, catering managers, hotel managers, and chefs, while diligently following up on leads.
- Consult with clients in the showroom, over the phone, via WhatsApp, and through email.
- Monitor sales progress in alignment with targets alongside the Sales Manager.
- Stay informed on new product developments, market conditions, and promotional trends.
- Collaborate with marketing teams to ensure product offerings are tailored to customer needs and effectively promoted.
- Maintain the showroom's cleanliness and organization, ensuring it remains presentable and well-stocked.
- Report noteworthy trends, ideas, and challenges to the Sales Manager regularly.
Administration
- Manage sales administration efficiently.
- Prepare and dispatch quotes and invoices.
- Process payments using cash, EFT, or credit card.
- Deliver exceptional service by overseeing orders, deliveries, and couriers.
Team Support
- Assist and support the sales team and colleagues as needed.
- Participate in team activities, training sessions, and meetings.
- Provide administrative and sales assistance to colleagues whenever necessary.
Requirements:
- 3-5 years of experience in a sales role.
- 1+ years of experience with Food Service Equipment.
- Proficient computer skills (Email, Word, Excel).
- Valid South African driver's license.
- Fluent in English; proficiency in an African language or Afrikaans is highly advantageous.
- Further education or experience in Sales, Marketing, or the Hospitality industry is a plus.
