About the job
Is This Role for You?
Are you familiar with the rhythm of the armed forces, the pressure of deployment, and the responsibility that comes with shaping future leaders? Do you remember what it was like to guide a group through their initial weeks: coping with little sleep, absorbing vast amounts of knowledge, and witnessing daily progress? Perhaps you miss the direct interaction with cadets, especially those moments when they truly grasp the essence of military leadership. As an instructor for the Short Officer Training Program at the Royal Military Academy, you will bring your expertise back to the institution where future officers are trained. Through Triangular Group, you will apply your craftsmanship within a team that understands and values your background.
Your Responsibilities
You will support cadets during the first three modules of the Short Officer Training Program at KMA. Collaborating with military instructors from Defense and fellow educators from TGA, your weeks will consist of teaching, field guidance, exercise preparation, and coaching young leaders as they take their initial steps toward becoming officers.
- Instruct during the AMO module (12 weeks) and facilitate the transition from civilian to military.
- Train foundational skills such as performance, field skills, discipline, and military routines.
- Provide leadership and command training in module 2.
- Support field exercises and evaluate the performance of cadets.
- Guide study sessions and practical assignments in module 3.
- Contribute to evaluations and progress reports.
- Work closely with military instructors to ensure the quality and safety of the training.
