Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the inspection of quantity and quality during the loading/unloading of vessels, along with sampling of discharged materials or volumetric surveys of stockpiled commodities, adhering to management systems as well as local and international standards and client specifications.
Detailed Responsibilities
- Conduct visual assessments, volume measurements, and sampling of various commodity materials in barge tanks, ship tanks, stockpiles, and other vessels.
- Ensure clarity and documentation of received instructions and information from supervisors.
- Participate in commodity material movements, including volumetric surveys and loading/unloading operations.
- Punctually attend intervention meetings and report to job sites.
- Communicate effectively with terminal personnel, clients, and company staff while adhering to operational and safety protocols to ensure a seamless workflow. Maintain ethical conduct at all times.
- Prepare necessary forms, materials, equipment, and personal protective gear before heading to the work site.
- Ensure all equipment is operational, calibrated, and clean, including safety and monitoring devices relevant to the job.
- Perform routine equipment checks and monitor the availability of supplies necessary for inspection tasks. Inform the Job Officer or Operations Executive about any needs.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient workspace and equipment.
- Assist the Job Officer in addressing customer complaints and audit findings through thorough investigations, including root cause analysis and implementing corrective actions.
- Be flexible in work assignments across different operational areas as required.
