Join us as the Hotel Manager at the newly rebranded Garner Hotel Rotherham East, a charming property featuring 91 guest rooms. In this pivotal role, you will oversee all operational aspects of the hotel, ensuring both staff management and guest satisfaction align with our brand values. As the face of Garner Hotels, your leadership will be crucial in cultivating a service-oriented culture, optimizing operations, and enhancing overall guest experiences. You will report directly to the Cluster General Manager.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Supervising daily hotel operations and functions.
- Conducting regular team meetings.
- Ensuring compliance with hotel policies, procedures, and service standards.
- Managing guest complaints and overseeing service recovery efforts.
- Supporting the development and attainment of the hotel’s operational budget and marketing plan.
- Balancing profitability with guest satisfaction metrics.
- Setting and achieving both short and long-term strategic goals for the hotel.
- Implementing cost-saving initiatives and improvement actions.
- Analyzing P&L statements to inform strategic decisions.
- Monitoring daily business reports to track hotel performance.
- Ensuring accurate financial outlooks across various departments.
- Maximizing room yield through collaboration with the Director of Revenue.
- Preparing weekly financial reports for the Group Operations Manager.
- Coordinating procurement of supplies and managing vendor relationships.
- Acting as the final decision-maker for key staff recruitment.
- Working closely with department heads to ensure smooth execution of hotel functions.
- Fostering team development and progression opportunities.
- Providing impactful leadership to hotel staff.
- Leading all aspects of business planning.
- Responding to audits to promote continuous improvement.
- Ensuring compliance with legal regulations including Health & Safety and Fire safety standards.
- Conducting timely health and safety checks in accordance with the Health & Safety Act.
