As a Teacher at KIPP KC Public Schools, your primary responsibilities will include:
Instructional Delivery and Assessment
Create or adapt comprehensive, year-long unit and lesson plans based on Missouri State standards (or other curriculum) that cater to diverse learning needs.
Utilize assessment data to adjust both short-term and long-term educational strategies to enhance student academic performance.
Welcome and incorporate constructive feedback as part of a culture of continual improvement.
Keep precise records, maintain a grade book, and utilize data tracking systems effectively.
Academic and Cultural Support
Take personal responsibility for the academic success of your students.
Work collaboratively with grade-level and content teams to foster a culture of critical thinking and academic excellence.
Build and maintain trusting and respectful relationships with students and their families.
Engage in daily school responsibilities, including supervision during morning, lunch, and afternoon activities.
Participate in essential school events such as staff meetings, open houses, and student-led parent conferences.
Fulfill professional obligations punctually and consistently.
Model the cultural expectations of our school community.
