The Sports Manager plays a pivotal role in fostering a vibrant corporate sports culture at Nazarbayev University by creating an encouraging environment for physical activity and team interaction. This includes organizing and conducting sports events, ensuring compliance with health and safety standards, and developing motivational systems that engage university employees in sporting activities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Organize and coordinate corporate sports initiatives: Participate in planning and coordinating the university’s physical education and health activities; implement programs that encourage regular sports participation and maintain physical activity during work hours; engage university staff and community members in sports through planning, organizing, and coordinating corporate competitions and sports sections; support and develop interest-based clubs/teams (e.g., football, running, swimming).
- Information and educational activities: Implement the communication plan; develop and distribute informational materials (brochures, bulletins, posters) using modern communication channels (Telegram, WhatsApp, Instagram, website) regarding corporate sports and healthy lifestyle initiatives for employees; conduct outreach efforts, presentations, meetings, and sessions on corporate sports topics; enhance employee engagement by integrating sports and a healthy lifestyle into daily corporate culture.
- Collaboration and program development: Participate in establishing partnerships with sports organizations, governmental bodies in Kazakhstan, and abroad regarding healthy living and sports; implement long-term programs aimed at improving employees' physical and mental well-being, such as yoga, meditation, and stress reduction programs; assess program effectiveness and impact on employee health through surveys and other feedback mechanisms; prepare reports on program effectiveness and improvement suggestions.
- Policy analysis and implementation: Analyze, participate in the development, and implement regulations, policies, and recommendations concerning sports and public health; assist in preparing proposals for management on the development of sports and physical culture at the university.
