About the job
As the Head Cook at Guzman y Gomez, you will play a pivotal role in upholding our kitchen's quality standards. Your responsibilities will include collaborating with the Restaurant Manager on profit and loss metrics, such as Cost of Goods Sold (COGS), labor, and operating expenses, while ensuring compliance with food safety and workplace health and safety policies and procedures.
We recognize that experience can take many forms, and we specifically seek candidates who possess:
- Proven experience in a kitchen or cooking role within a high-volume hospitality setting
- Demonstrated ability to lead and develop a team
- A certificate in commercial cookery or equivalent experience
- A solid understanding of food safety regulations
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills
