As a Hardware Automation Engineer, you will be pivotal in shaping the future of flexible manufacturing testing. In this role, you will develop and implement automated testing solutions for an extensive range of product configurations. Your collaboration with cross-functional teams will guarantee 100% test coverage across custom hardware, unique BIOS settings, and specialized system images. Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with Design, Validation, and Applications Engineers to comprehend expected functionalities of components and devise an appropriate test plan.
- Create and integrate necessary test code into the automation framework.
- Enhance the New Product Introduction process by partnering with Validation Engineers to ensure that tests applicable in development are also suitable for production.
- Ensure that production test capabilities are prepared in time for system releases.
- Thoroughly analyze designs to evaluate tests, address test failures, and provide rapid feedback to optimize performance.
- Support the achievement of production goals related to takt time by optimizing test coverage, utilizing test parallelism, and advocating for upstream functional testing with vendors, ODMs, and CMs.
- Take ownership of tests and platforms within our innovative automated testing framework.
- Document your work comprehensively.
- Offer constructive feedback to the design team to enhance product testability (DfM/DfT).
