Join Navarro Research and Engineering, where we are committed to advancing environmental remediation efforts. We are currently seeking a Groundwater Remediation System Engineer to support our remediation operations at the NASA White Sands Test Facility (WSTF) in Las Cruces, NM.
As a part of our dedicated team, you will play a crucial role in operating and maintaining two groundwater remediation systems, ensuring compliance with environmental regulations and contributing to the restoration of vital ecosystems. This position requires a strong on-site presence and excellent communication skills to effectively interact with team members, client representatives, and contractors.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the operation of treatment systems in full compliance with EPA, NMED, NMSLO, and NASA regulations.
- Conduct start-ups, shutdowns, and routine operations of treatment systems.
- Maintain and update maintenance records and logs for treatment systems.
- Support troubleshooting and maintenance activities in accordance with safety and operational guidelines.
- Develop and maintain task-specific instructions for treatment system technicians.
- Draft statements of work or procurement documentation for system upgrades and repairs.
- Coordinate activities with WSTF contractor personnel.
- Collaborate with off-site subcontractors and technical support representatives.
- Prepare and present engineering design project reports to team members and client representatives.
- Work with facilities and drafting personnel to develop and review treatment system mechanical, instrumentation & controls, and electrical drawings.
