Current offerings include counseling referrals, financial planning, emergency assessments, attendance coaching, and strategic support for student loans.
POSITION SUMMARY:
The Goodwill CARES! Specialist is pivotal in promoting employee wellbeing and driving performance, engagement, and retention throughout our organization, aligned with our strategic objectives. This role involves guiding employees in accessing support services and staying informed about community resources in their designated area. Services can encompass individual and financial counseling, assistance with family or life transitions, skills enhancement, mental health support, and help with sensitive issues such as substance abuse and domestic violence. The CARES Specialist is expected to be active and provide hands-on assistance at all Goodwill of North Central West Virginia locations.
Duties include but are not limited to:
- Conduct interviews with employees to discuss sensitive topics that may impact morale, health, and productivity.
- Provide confidential intake and needs assessments for employees, facilitating referrals to appropriate agencies and community resources.
- Hold ongoing meetings with employees, either onsite or virtually, to ensure quality service delivery, track progress towards goals in adherence to program guidelines, and provide necessary documentation promptly.
- Maintain current knowledge of and cultivate relationships with local community services to address the needs of Goodwill employees seeking assistance, including but not limited to physical, social, cultural, and basic living needs (transportation, food, shelter).
- Document and maintain records for all employees, including participation data and other metrics to evaluate the effectiveness of programs and interventions.
External Hiring Range: $40,144.00 to $42,552.64 per year
Schedule: Monday – Friday (8:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.), with variability based on departmental needs.
Travel Required: Yes, occasional travel to Goodwill locations in North Central West Virginia and Southwestern Pennsylvania is necessary.
