Job Summary
We are in search of a Global Sourcing Manager – Rack & Mechanical Components to spearhead our sourcing strategy and supplier engagement for rack infrastructure and mechanical hardware components that support Graphcore's AI infrastructure platforms.
This pivotal role collaborates closely with engineering, supply chain, and finance teams to secure optimal capacity, cost-effectiveness, and delivery performance for crucial hardware technologies. The ideal candidate will adeptly translate technical product roadmaps into actionable sourcing strategies, negotiate intricate commercial agreements, and ensure robust supply chains that support global infrastructure deployments.
The Team
The Global Sourcing Management (GSM) team is responsible for defining and executing supplier strategies across Graphcore's hardware and infrastructure ecosystem.
Our team collaborates intimately with engineering and supply chain functions to identify, nurture, and manage suppliers that align with Graphcore's product roadmap and operational scalability.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Lead strategic sourcing initiatives for rack and mechanical hardware components.
- Create and implement multi-year commodity strategies in line with engineering roadmaps and infrastructure deployment objectives.
- Convert technical specifications and vendor roadmaps into effective sourcing strategies and negotiation frameworks.
- Oversee complex commercial negotiations, including long-term supply agreements and capacity reservations.
- Develop cost models and conduct should-cost analyses to enhance negotiation leverage.
- Ensure supply continuity through proactive capacity planning, supplier risk management, and governance.
- Facilitate executive supplier business reviews to enhance supplier performance and alignment.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Engineering, Supply Chain, Finance, and Operations teams.
