The LIONS Commercial Partnerships division is on the lookout for a Global Partnerships Lead to enhance our NYC operations. Reporting directly to the Global Head of Partnerships, Retention, this role will engage with key accounts across the entire LIONS portfolio.
Our team is dedicated to building strong client relationships year-round, consistently driving revenue through our diverse 365 product offerings. As the leader of a high-performing sales team of six, you will play a pivotal role in generating over $30M in annual revenue through innovative brand partnerships across our festival portfolio.
This position is not just about sales; it’s about creating unforgettable experiences for our clients from the initial introduction to contract signing and on-site delivery. We are seeking a strategic sales expert and exceptional manager, who possesses a flair for creativity and innovation.
The ideal candidate will be a seasoned sales leader with 5-8 years of experience in sales, ideally within live events, entertainment, or media, with a proven track record of generating $10M+ in annual revenue while managing high-performing teams. Outstanding leadership and communication abilities are crucial, along with expertise in negotiating complex, high-value deals. This role demands a strategic thinker well-versed in brand marketing and sponsorship dynamics, thriving in fast-paced, entrepreneurial settings. A strong commercial instinct, collaborative mindset, and results-oriented approach are essential for success. Candidates should demonstrate a history of consistently meeting and exceeding sales targets and possess experience in leading high-performing sales teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead, mentor, and develop a team of six direct reports to surpass individual and team sales targets.
- Encourage a high-performance culture centered on accountability, creativity, and collaboration.
- Conduct regular performance reviews, pipeline assessments, and strategic planning sessions.
- Own and achieve a revenue target exceeding $30M through strategic partnerships.
- Provide updates and manage forecasts and risks to the Global Head of Partnerships.
- Formulate and implement strategies aligned with business goals and market trends.
- Identify new revenue opportunities and optimize existing partnerships for growth and retention.
- Lead negotiations and close complex, high-value deals that deliver mutual value.
- Collaborate across functions including marketing, operations, legal, and finance to ensure seamless execution.
- Deliver accurate revenue forecasts and pipeline reporting to senior leadership.
- Monitor market trends and competitor activities to shape strategy and positioning.
- Analyze performance metrics to continuously enhance team effectiveness.
