This team oversees global coordination, interview logistics, onsite experiences, and the operational workflows that underpin all recruiting functions, from Executive and Research to Technical, GTM, and G&A. The Candidate Experience team adapts to various hiring approaches, from executive and research roles to high-volume technical positions, playing a vital role in crafting tailored experiences for specialized searches while also ensuring scalability as OpenAI expands worldwide.
About the Role
As the Global Candidate Experience Manager, you will define, scale, and continuously enhance the candidate experience at OpenAI. You will lead a diverse, geographically dispersed team of Recruiting Coordinators and team leads, overseeing the systems, workflows, and service standards that facilitate smooth and outstanding hiring processes across the organization.
This position combines global leadership, operational excellence, and strategic design. You will develop an AI-first candidate experience model, manage some of the most intricate and confidential searches within OpenAI, and implement the infrastructure necessary for high-volume and research-level technical recruitment. Collaboration will be key, as you will work closely with all Recruiting functions as well as Executive Operations, People Analytics, Internal Tools, and the People Innovation Lab.
Our ideal candidate has substantial experience in leading recruitment operations teams, scaling initiatives across multiple offices or countries, and thriving in environments where customized workflows and scalable systems coexist.
