The Production Technician II is responsible for executing various manufacturing processes including formulation, encapsulation, and both primary and secondary packaging with minimal supervision. This role requires the ability to independently set up equipment for assigned production areas, promptly identify and resolve performance-related equipment issues, and adhere to GMP guidelines to achieve or surpass target Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE). You will play a key role in leading improvement initiatives, driving changes in both operational processes and documentation, and serving as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) and trainer in your areas of expertise. Additionally, you will provide high-level technical troubleshooting and demonstrate AbbVie’s core values in your work.
Responsibilities:
- Exhibit proven success in all tasks associated with the Production Technician I role or possess equivalent experience.
- Comply with Environmental, Health, and Safety procedures to foster a proactive safety culture.
- Set up and operate equipment effectively across multiple unit operations or formulation processes.
- Demonstrate advanced troubleshooting abilities for complex equipment issues, collaborating effectively with Maintenance, Engineering, Tech Ops, Materials Management, and Quality to enhance operational efficiency and compliance.
- Proactively detect equipment malfunctions and address them to minimize downtime.
- Engage in departmental initiatives such as updating procedures and driving improvement efforts.
- Act as a Subject Matter Expert and provide training and coaching on advanced production processes while assisting with audits as necessary.
- Make informed decisions regarding process assessments or seek management intervention when safety or product quality is at risk.
