About the job
About Affect
Affect is at the forefront of transforming behavioral health care by leveraging mobile technology alongside counseling and medical services to provide fully virtual, evidence-based treatment. Our mission is to eliminate barriers to care, making treatment more accessible, engaging, and effective for our members.
Through our innovative approach, we combine a smartphone application with a dedicated care team to deliver real-time, data-driven support, enhancing results while lowering costs.
About the Role
As a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) at Affect, you will be instrumental in leading member care as part of a collaborative team that includes counselors, therapists, peer support specialists, and case managers.
You will deliver evidence-based treatment to individuals facing substance use and mental health disorders in a fully virtual setting.
Affect specializes in substance-specific treatment, prescribing Suboxone for Opioid Use Disorder while refraining from prescribing other controlled substances. Although we provide comprehensive training in our treatment methodology, clinical decisions will ultimately be made at the provider’s discretion in collaboration with the member.
For full-time positions, we are particularly seeking providers with strong mental health expertise. While experience in treating substance use disorders and prescribing Suboxone is valuable, this role necessitates confidence in assessing and managing complex mental health conditions.
An active, unrestricted license in New Mexico is required.
Please note that we are currently hiring for both full-time and part-time roles in New Mexico; however, this posting is exclusively for the full-time position.

- Provide comprehensive assessments and diagnoses of mental health disorders.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans.
- Deliver evidence-based therapeutic interventions.
