We are currently on the lookout for a skilled and passionate full-time Physical Therapist to enhance our school-based services team in La Plata, MD.
Professional License Requirements:
- A master's degree or doctorate from an accredited institution
- Active state-level licensure as a Physical Therapist
Role Expectations:
Experience in school settings or with children is advantageous but not mandatory.
- Evaluate and treat students to facilitate their navigation through the school environment, boost academic performance, and foster peer engagement.
- Contribute as a member of the Individualized Education Plan (IEP) team for students requiring physical therapy.
- Establish strong collaborations with parents, teachers, and school administrators.
- Support the achievement of goals stipulated in each child's educational plan.
- Assist children with mobility challenges.
- Help develop strategies to enhance gross and sensory motor skills.
- Conduct family training sessions as needed.
- Carry out additional PT duties and responsibilities as required by the program, adhering to the scope of licensure and certification.
- Ensure compliance with all state laws and regulations regarding service delivery.
