ABOUT US: Miami Valley Child Development Centers proudly serves as southwest Ohio's Head Start Agency. For over 55 years, we have been dedicated to delivering FREE early learning and childcare services to children from six weeks to five years of age. Our unique two-generational approach enhances family well-being by engaging both children and their caregivers in accessing vital resources, resolving challenges, and developing existing skills. Our team includes Family Support Specialists, Home Visitors, and Coaches who are eager to partner with you on this transformative journey. Generally, families must meet the requirement of earning at or below 100% of the Federal Poverty Level, and we also welcome children experiencing homelessness or those who are in foster or kinship care. In certain cases, children with disabilities may qualify as well. We offer flexible full-day and part-day options across our 27+ convenient locations in Montgomery, Clark, and Madison counties.
CLASSIFICATION: Full-Time, Full-Year, Non-Exempt.
BASIC FUNCTIONS: As an Infant and Toddler Teacher, you will play a pivotal role in nurturing the growth and development of infants and toddlers while overseeing their daily activities. You will prepare these young learners for kindergarten by implementing an innovative, engaging, and theme-based curriculum that balances structure with the cultivation of meaningful relationships. Your responsibilities include lifting infants in and out of cribs, maintaining active supervision of their health, safety, and care in accordance with Head Start Performance Standards. Additionally, you will plan, implement, and assess children’s developmental needs, evaluating daily activities to ensure they are developmentally appropriate.
