The stunning Elix hotel, perched above Karavostasi beach, is situated between the picturesque towns of Parga and Syvota on the mainland of Greece.
We are currently seeking a motivated Front Desk Receptionist Trainee to join our esteemed team at Elix Hotel for the upcoming 2026 season.
In this role, you will be the welcoming face of our establishment, responsible for ensuring a positive guest experience at the front desk while performing all administrative tasks to the highest standards.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Warmly greet and welcome guests upon their arrival and efficiently assign rooms.
- Execute all check-in and check-out processes with precision.
- Register guests while collecting the necessary information and documentation.
- Answer, screen, and forward incoming phone calls professionally.
- Provide comprehensive information about the hotel, available rooms, rates, and amenities.
- Address and resolve clients’ complaints in a timely and courteous manner.
- Coordinate with housekeeping staff to ensure all rooms are clean, tidy, and meet guest expectations.
- Promote and upsell additional facilities and services as appropriate.
- Maintain accurate records of bookings and payments.
- Receive, sort, and distribute daily mail and deliveries.
- Keep the reception area tidy and well-stocked with necessary stationery and materials.
- Ensure back-office security by adhering to safety protocols and managing visitor access at the reception desk (including logbook monitoring and visitor badge issuance).
- Manage front office supplies and maintain an inventory of stock.

Requirements
- Previous work experience as a Hotel Front Desk Agent, Receptionist, or in a similar role.
- Familiarity with hotel Property Management Systems (PMS) such as Fidelio and Opera.
- Excellent command of both Greek and English, with additional language skills (German, French, Russian) considered an asset.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- A degree in hotel management is a plus.
