Opportunity Overview:
Each project presents distinct tasks, where contributors may:
- Create mechanical engineering problems for both graduate and industry levels grounded in practical applications.
- Assess AI-generated solutions for accuracy, underlying assumptions, and engineering principles.
- Utilize Python (NumPy, SciPy, Pandas) to validate analytical or numerical results.
- Enhance AI reasoning to be consistent with fundamental principles and accepted engineering standards.
- Employ structured scoring criteria to evaluate multi-step problem-solving approaches.
Candidate Profile:
This role is ideal for mechanical engineers with Python experience who are open to part-time, non-permanent projects. Ideal candidates will possess:
- A degree in Mechanical Engineering or related disciplines, such as Thermodynamics, Fluid Mechanics, Mechanical Design, or Computational Mechanics.
- A minimum of 3 years of professional experience in mechanical engineering.
- Exceptional written English proficiency (C1/C2).
- Strong skills in Python for numerical validation.
- A stable internet connection.
Professional certifications (e.g., PE, CEng, PMP) and experience in international or applied projects are beneficial.
Project Execution:
Process: Apply → Pass qualifications → Join a project → Complete tasks → Receive payment.
Time Commitment:
For this project, tasks are estimated to require approximately 10–20 hours per week during active phases, depending on project needs. This is an estimate and does not guarantee workload.
Compensation:
- Paid contributions, with rates up to $38/hour*
- Fixed project rates or individual rates based on the project.
- Some projects may include additional incentive payments.
