Opportunity Overview:
Each project presents unique challenges, and contributors may be tasked with:
- Crafting mechanical engineering problems suitable for both graduate and industry levels, rooted in real-world applications.
- Assessing AI-generated solutions for accuracy, underlying assumptions, and engineering logic.
- Validating analytical or numerical results using Python frameworks such as NumPy, SciPy, and Pandas.
- Refining AI reasoning to ensure alignment with foundational principles and recognized engineering standards.
- Implementing structured scoring criteria to evaluate multi-step problem-solving processes.
Ideal Candidate Profile:
This role is ideal for mechanical engineers proficient in Python, seeking part-time, non-permanent project work. The following qualifications are preferred:
- A degree in Mechanical Engineering or related fields like Thermodynamics, Fluid Mechanics, Mechanical Design, or Computational Mechanics.
- A minimum of 3 years of professional experience in mechanical engineering.
- Exceptional written English skills (C1/C2 level).
- Strong Python capabilities for numerical validation.
- A stable internet connection.
Possessing professional certifications (e.g., PE, CEng, PMP) and experience with international or applied projects is advantageous.

Project Commitment:
For this initiative, tasks are expected to require approximately 10–20 hours per week during active phases, depending on project specifics. This is an estimate and not a guaranteed workload.
Compensation:
- Paid contributions, with rates up to $50/hour*
- Fixed project rates or individual rates based on project specifics
- Some projects may offer incentive payments
*Note: Rates vary based on expertise, skills assessment, location, project requirements, and other factors. Higher rates may be awarded to highly specialized experts, while lower rates may apply during onboarding or non-core project phases. Payment specifics will be shared per project.
