What This Opportunity Entails
Each project presents unique challenges, and contributors can expect to:
- Design real-world mechanical engineering problems at both graduate and industry levels.
- Evaluate AI-generated solutions for accuracy, assumptions, and adherence to engineering logic.
- Utilize Python (NumPy, SciPy, Pandas) to validate analytical or numerical results.
- Enhance AI reasoning to align with established engineering principles and first principles.
- Apply structured scoring criteria to evaluate complex problem-solving processes.
Ideal Candidates Will Have
This role is suitable for mechanical engineers with Python experience who are open to part-time, non-permanent projects. We are looking for contributors who possess:
- A degree in Mechanical Engineering or related disciplines, such as Thermodynamics, Fluid Mechanics, Mechanical Design, or Computational Mechanics.
- 3+ years of hands-on mechanical engineering experience.
- Proficient written English skills (C1/C2 level).
- Strong Python skills for numerical validation purposes.
- A reliable internet connection.
Additional certifications (e.g., PE, CEng, PMP) and experience with international or applied projects are advantageous.

Project Time Commitment
Tasks are projected to require approximately 10–20 hours per week during active phases, subject to project demands. Please note that this is an estimate and may not guarantee specific workload.
Compensation
- Compensated contributions at rates up to $55/hour*
- Fixed project rates or individual rates based on project specifications.
- Some projects may include incentive payments.
*Note: Rates may vary based on expertise, skills assessment, geographic location, and project requirements. Highly specialized experts may receive higher rates, whereas lower rates might apply during onboarding or non-core project phases. Payment details will be provided per project.
