Role Overview
Each project offers distinct tasks, which may include:
- Crafting complex energy engineering challenges that mirror real-world applications;
- Assessing AI solutions for accuracy, underlying assumptions, and operational constraints;
- Validating calculations or simulations using Python libraries such as NumPy, Pandas, and SciPy;
- Enhancing AI reasoning to comply with industry-standard logic;
- Employing structured scoring criteria for multi-faceted problems.
Candidate Profile
This role suits energy engineers with Python expertise who are interested in part-time, non-permanent projects. Ideal candidates will possess:
- A degree in Energy Engineering or a related field, such as Electrical Engineering, Power Systems Engineering, Renewable Energy Engineering, or Electronics;
- A minimum of 3 years of professional experience in energy engineering;
- Proficient written English skills (C1/C2 level);
- Strong Python skills for numerical validation;
- A reliable internet connection.
Possession of professional certifications (e.g., PE, CEng, EMP, CEM) and experience with international or applied projects is a plus.

Project Commitment
Tasks for this project are anticipated to require approximately 10–20 hours per week during active phases. This estimate is based on project requirements and is not a guaranteed workload.
Compensation
- Remuneration for contributions may reach $12/hour*;
- Compensation may be structured as a fixed project rate or based on individual tasks;
- Some projects may offer incentive payments.
*Compensation rates may vary based on expertise, skills assessment, location, project needs, and other factors. Higher rates may be available for highly specialized experts, while lower rates may apply during onboarding or non-core project phases. Specific payment details will be provided per project.
