THE ROLE
As a Freelance Culinary Experiences Producer, you will be responsible for curating, producing, and promoting culinary experiences that reflect the vibrant food culture of New York City. From chef-led tastings and pop-up dinners to immersive gatherings that celebrate local cuisine, you will serve as a Sofar ambassador, collaborating with fellow producers in your area and working alongside the Global Communities team to create exceptional events. Your role will also involve executing local marketing initiatives and expanding Sofar's reach into food-centric experiences.
You will immerse yourself in the local food scene, discovering the latest restaurant openings, emerging chefs, and hidden culinary gems. With a well-established network of chefs, restaurateurs, food influencers, and hospitality professionals, you will have the expertise to bring people together through unforgettable, sensory-rich experiences that are fun and engaging.
As a Sofar Producer, you will embody an entrepreneurial spirit—resourceful and driven. Whether creatively selling tickets or troubleshooting on the day of the event, you thrive on challenges and make things happen. This independent role is designed for proactive self-starters who want meaningful ownership of how Sofar engages with their community. It encompasses all aspects of event planning, curation, marketing, and execution, with support from Sofar’s Global Communities team, including access to training, resources, and opportunities to connect with other creators globally.
Please note that our Producers are freelancers compensated through commission-based earnings. Your schedule is flexible, but events may occur during evenings and weekends.
