At Mindrift, we specialize in connecting talented professionals with project-based AI roles at leading technology companies. Our focus is on testing, evaluating, and enhancing AI systems. Note that participation is project-based and does not constitute permanent employment.
Opportunity Overview
While each project presents unique challenges, contributors may be involved in the following tasks:
- Craft original computational statistics problems that reflect real mathematical research workflows;
- Develop problems that necessitate Python programming for resolution (utilizing libraries such as Numpy, SciPy, and SymPy);
- Design computationally intensive problems that cannot be manually solved within a practical timeframe (days to weeks);
- Create problems that require sophisticated reasoning in fields such as number theory, combinatorics, graph theory, and numerical analysis;
- Base problems on genuine research challenges or practical applications from mathematical disciplines;
- Validate solutions using Python with established mathematical libraries;
- Clearly document problem statements and provide verified, correct solutions.
Qualifications
This opportunity is ideal for statistics experts with a strong proficiency in Python who are interested in part-time, non-permanent projects. Preferred qualifications include:
- A degree in Statistics or a related field;
- Proficiency in Python for numerical validation. Familiarity with MATLAB, R, C, SQL, Numpy, Pandas, SciPy, domain-specific libraries, Stata, or any programming language may be considered equivalent;
- A minimum of 2 years of professional experience in applied research or teaching;
- Strong command of written English (C1+ level);
- Professional certifications (e.g., CMME, SAS Certifications, CAP) and experience in international or applied projects are advantageous.
