The Fraud Risk Strategy Team at Stripe is dedicated to safeguarding our platform against fraudulent activities. We focus on developing and executing strategies that minimize financial losses while ensuring a secure and efficient payments ecosystem, all aimed at delivering exceptional user experiences.
Your Role
As a Fraud Risk Strategist on the Merchant Fraud team, your primary objective will be to mitigate losses caused by fraudulent activities on our platform. You will enhance the security of payments for our users and help Stripe navigate the complexities of payment risks. The environment is dynamic and challenging, requiring innovative solutions and quick adaptation to emerging threats, ensuring the integrity of Stripe’s payment systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct in-depth analyses of accounts and transactions to identify and forecast risky behaviors that could lead to losses for Stripe or disrupt the payments ecosystem.
- Scale and enhance risk management processes to address an increasingly complex landscape of payment risks, integrating both machine learning models and manual review workflows.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Engineering, Product, Data Science, and Operations to devise effective fraud mitigation strategies across various regions, payment methods, and offerings.
- Engage with Stripe users to educate them on potential risks and foster a proactive approach to fraud prevention.
- Challenge conventional practices in the payments industry to enable innovative businesses to thrive online.
