Important Note: Due to stringent security protocols for this position, successful candidates must have resided in the UK for the past five years, with a full three-year history.
Requirements: A valid Counterbalanced Forklift certificate is essential.
What We Offer:
- Competitive Pay: Starting at £12.50 per hour, increasing to £14.00 per hour after 12 weeks.
- Shifts: 2 days, 2 nights, 2 off -and 4 on 4 off (predominantly night shifts).
- Flexible Shift Patterns: 4 ON / 2 OFF or 4 ON / 4 OFF.
- Varied Starting Times: Shifts commencing at 08:00, 10:00, 11:00, 16:00, 20:00, 21:00, 22:00, or 23:00.

Key Responsibilities:
- Efficiently load and unload a variety of cargo using forklift trucks and mechanical handling equipment, while also performing manual handling tasks as necessary.
- Utilize hand-held scanning devices to precisely locate, identify, and monitor cargo.
- Accurately complete and manage associated paperwork according to client and operational standards.
- Handle special cargo in compliance with handling procedures and safety regulations.
- Construct and disassemble pallets to meet storage and distribution needs.
- Perform manual handling tasks safely following health and safety guidelines.
- Prepare, secure, and palletize cargo for storage or transport as required.
Shifts: The airport operates 7 days a week, with a rolling rota of 4 on 2 off. Flexibility is crucial regarding working days and hours. Note: Shift patterns may be subject to change.
Example Shift Hours:
- Working 2 Days, followed by 2 Nights, and then 2 Off Days.
Essential Requirements:
- Availability to work both day and night shifts.
- A valid Counterbalanced Forklift certificate is mandatory.
- Possession of a valid Passport or Driving Licence, Birth Certificate, or National ID card.
- Ability to stand for extended periods (8 hours).
- UK Settled Status (if applicable).
- Proof of National Insurance.
- Verification of current address.
- Five-year address history.
- Five-year work reference history.
- Successful candidates are subject to a basic criminal record check in accordance with CAA guidelines.
