Transdev Ontario is actively seeking a dedicated Fleet and Assets Manager to join our team in Ottawa.
Position Overview:
In this pivotal role, reporting directly to the Director of Fleet & Assets, the Fleet and Assets Manager will oversee a comprehensive range of responsibilities related to our fleet of vehicles and maintenance facilities. This is a dynamic position requiring exceptional multitasking abilities. Transdev Ontario is a leading multi-modal operator providing services in Student Transportation, Non-Emergency Medical Transport, Transit, and Commercial Passenger Services, operating under renowned brands in the Ottawa area, including Voyago and Priority Patient Transfer Services.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Procurement
- Evaluate divisional vehicles for timely replacement.
- Negotiate contracts for parts, fluids, tools, and services with vendors and manufacturers.
- Conduct vendor site visits and performance reviews.
- Enhance the lifecycle optimization of fleet assets.
- Develop and uphold best practice service standards, policies, and procedures.
2. Maintenance
- Ensure company vehicles are maintained in accordance with established standards and policies.
- Conduct annual reviews of all maintenance schedules.
- Manage estimates, work orders, and purchase orders.
- Coordinate outsourcing of shop maintenance and outside garage work.
- Oversee vehicle repair processes and liaise with insurance providers.
- Manage vehicle/component warranties.
- Supervise Fleet Services’ garage locations and physical facilities.
3. Financial Management
- Collect, analyze, and present key performance indicators related to fleet services to management and operations.
- Oversee inventory management.
- Manage Fleet Services’ cost center budgets and actual results.
4. Leadership
- Lead a team of licensed mechanics and administrative support staff.
