About the Opportunity
We are seeking a Finance & Operations Lead who will be instrumental in managing the financial and operational framework of our creative agency. This role encompasses two vital aspects: ensuring the seamless execution of daily financial operations (AP/AR, invoicing, payments) and developing comprehensive reports, forecasts, and analyses that empower our strategic decision-making.
You will collaborate closely with leadership to oversee cash flow, monitor project and team performance, and convert data into actionable insights that propel our business forward. This position is remote, and we are currently welcoming applicants from New York City, San Francisco, or Los Angeles.
What You'll Do
Financial Operations
- Oversee all accounts payable and accounts receivable, ensuring timely vendor payments and collection of client payments.
- Manage invoicing processes and payment tracking.
- Review and reconcile expenses using Ramp and QuickBooks.
- Prepare monthly financial reports and summaries for leadership review.
- Create and maintain dashboards to track revenue, costs, margins, and cash flow.
Forecasting & Planning
- Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual forecasting efforts.
- Maintain ongoing projections for revenue, expenses, and staffing requirements.
- Model financial scenarios to inform decisions regarding hiring, pricing, and growth strategies.
Project & Operational Analytics
- Monitor project budgets, profitability, and compare forecasted versus actual performance.
- Track team utilization and project assignments to identify potential capacity issues.
- Analyze performance data to reveal trends in quality, such as revision cycles, client feedback, and delivery timelines.
- Proactively identify risks, discrepancies, or inefficiencies.
