The Finance & Controlling Analyst plays a crucial role in supporting the monthly closing process as well as the quarterly and annual planning cycles, directly reporting to the Director of Finance & Controlling UIS. This position encompasses a wide array of responsibilities including controlling, budgeting, forecasting, reporting, and internal control functions across UIS and its global subsidiaries.
You will ensure the accuracy and timeliness of financial reporting, actively contribute to process enhancements, and utilize ERP systems, Power BI, and automation tools to streamline operations. Close collaboration with Controlling Leads in subsidiaries and finance teams at Umdasch Group (UIS and Doka) is essential for success. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, a structured working approach, and experience working within multinational environments—preferably in the construction, scaffolding, or industrial sectors.
Key Responsibilities:
- Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) & Performance Management:
- Assist in the preparation and consolidation of budgets, forecasts, and financial models.
- Monitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) such as gross margin, intercompany margins, cost controls, and inventory levels.
- Provide analytical insights to support informed decision-making.
Financial Reporting:
- Compile and archive financial documents and data.
- Prepare and review precise financial reports for management and stakeholders.
- Ensure adherence to accounting standards, internal policies, and relevant regulations.
- Contribute to the optimization of financial processes through the use of ERP systems, Power BI dashboards, automation, and AI-driven insights as applicable.
Cross-Functional & International Collaboration:
- Collaborate with Head and VP of Controlling in subsidiaries to ensure consistency in processes, standards, and reporting timelines.
- Coordinate with finance and controlling teams at headquarters (Umdasch Group and Doka) to promote best practices.
- Offer training and support to local finance teams across different regions.
