The City of New York is seeking a dedicated Field Monitor for the Medical Assistance Program (MAP). This role requires the applicant to be a permanent Caseworker in Civil Service or hold a comparable title eligible for a 6.1.9 title change. MAP administers Medicaid and related public health insurance programs, ensuring that individuals and families receive the necessary coverage in alignment with Federal and State guidelines.
As a Field Monitor, you will play a crucial role in overseeing the operations of the New York Medicaid CHOICE Program, specifically monitoring MAXIMUS’ daily activities. Responsibilities include conducting unannounced field visits to assess presentations provided by MAXIMUS and ensuring compliance with contract terms and conditions. You will also engage in direct monitoring of Community-Based Organization activities, report any issues to service providers, and ensure that Medicaid beneficiaries are well-informed about their plan choices and how to access various healthcare services.
Your duties will encompass evaluating the quality of presentations, monitoring the professionalism of counselors, and conducting monthly audits of the MAXIMUS Helpline performance. It is essential to report any major violations of the Maximus Quality Assurance Plan promptly to facilitate immediate corrective measures.
