Field Manager – Solar Service Operations
Role Overview
We are on the lookout for a skilled and dedicated Field Manager to spearhead our Solar Service Technicians in a dynamic field operations environment. This pivotal role entails the management of service teams, adherence to quality and safety protocols, and supervision of the inspection, troubleshooting, diagnosis, and repair of existing solar systems. The ideal candidate will possess significant leadership experience in solar service operations and excel in a fast-paced, field-oriented setting.
Essential Qualifications & Responsibilities (Must Haves)
- Demonstrable experience in managing field service teams within the solar industry, particularly in roles such as Solar Service Technician Manager or Field Operations Leader.
- Conduct and oversee inspections, troubleshooting, diagnosis, and repairs of installed solar PV systems and associated equipment, ensuring compliance with national codes, local, state, and federal regulations, as well as company procedures.
- Analyze and interpret plans, specifications, technical documents, contracts, and job-related documentation to facilitate accurate diagnosis, repair execution, and adherence to applicable standards, quality assurance requirements, and project specifications.
- Guarantee that all work is carried out safely, accurately, and efficiently throughout the contract duration.
- Provide thorough and precise daily documentation, including logs, photographs, reports, and job updates utilizing a company-issued mobile device.
Preferred Qualifications (Nice to Haves)
- Act as a professional contact for potential, current, and former customers by offering product insights, clarifying the scope of work, and addressing technical or service-related inquiries.
- Maintain clear and consistent communication with supervisory staff and field teams regarding job status, performance expectations, and operational priorities.
- Foster and uphold a robust safety culture, ensuring compliance with occupational health and safety standards, company policies, and relevant regulations for all personnel, subcontractors, clients, and visitors.
Requirements
Experience & Certifications
- At least 2 years of experience in the Solar Industry OR 3 years of experience in the Electrical sector.
- OSHA 30 Certification is mandatory.
Technical & Professional Skills
- Ability to work autonomously in a diverse field environment with minimal oversight.
- Competent in managing multiple projects and priorities concurrently with varying timelines.
