Key Responsibilities
- Ensure optimal performance of facility equipment while managing spare parts inventory.
- Conduct repairs on equipment to ensure safe and effective operation.
- Record data readings and maintain logs in compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
- Diagnose process operations and make necessary adjustments to achieve peak performance.
- Utilize handheld instruments such as voltage meters, LEL meters, gas detection meters, and pH meters.
- Prevent disruptions to the production schedule caused by equipment malfunctions or unsafe conditions.
- Strictly adhere to Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures for unsafe equipment or during servicing.
- Complete work orders to facilitate preventive and predictive maintenance per manufacturer guidelines.
- Keep work areas organized to meet housekeeping and 5S standards.
- Perform electrical and mechanical repairs/projects as directed by the Facilities Manager.
- Prioritize safety and compliance with environmental regulations.
- Participate in various jobs, projects, and assignments as assigned by the Facilities Manager.
- Act as a member of the on-site emergency response team.
- Maintain documentation and equipment to comply with Process Safety Management (PSM), Risk Management Plan (RMP), and Permit requirements.
Required Skills
- Proven experience in process operation, with strong troubleshooting capabilities.
- Expertise in chemical handling and associated safety practices.
- Familiarity with wastewater treatment processes, mechanical chillers, boilers, HVAC units, pumps, gauges, and valves.
- Strong electrical and mechanical troubleshooting skills, with proficiency in using hand and power tools.
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
