As a Facilities Maintenance Technician II, you will play a vital role in supporting our resort operations by executing maintenance tasks, including various projects, preventive maintenance, and fulfilling work orders.
Key Responsibilities:
- Execute engineering projects, handle guest requests, conduct blitzes, and perform preventive maintenance as directed by resort management.
- Troubleshoot and resolve plumbing issues, repair fixtures, and replace piping as necessary.
- Diagnose and repair minor electrical components, including receptacles and ballasts.
- Handle troubleshooting and repair for appliances and household fixtures.
- Maintain a basic understanding of HVAC systems to perform preventive maintenance and diagnostics.
- Repair and maintain interior and exterior walls, wall coverings, and ceilings, including texturing, painting, and caulking.
- Repair or replace flooring components such as tiles, grout, vinyl, and carpet as needed.
- Work with pools, spas, and water features, including chemical balancing and cleaning tasks.
- Actively participate in procurement and inventory processes to ensure necessary materials and tools are available.
- Operate resort management devices and software effectively (e.g., HotSOS and other applicable systems).
- Communicate professionally through radios, phones, emails, and face-to-face interactions.
- Perform maintenance and cleaning tasks as required by management.
- Utilize hand tools, power tools, and battery-operated tools safely.
- Work comfortably with ladders, scaffolding, lifts, and appropriate PPE (Personal Protective Equipment).
- Follow all safety guidelines and practices diligently.
- Identify and report potential safety hazards on the property.
- Engage with guests positively to understand their needs and resolve any issues.
- Adhere to all CFI/Westgate Resorts policies and procedures.
- Always portray Westgate Resorts professionally through your appearance and conduct.
- Complete additional tasks as assigned by resort management.
