Key Responsibilities:
- Perform routine cleaning and maintenance of patient rooms, administrative offices, public spaces, treatment areas, and other designated locations, including trash collection, bed linen changes, and surface sanitization.
- Adhere to protocols concerning patient isolation and contact precautions as required.
- Restock paper products and other supplies in assigned areas as needed.
- Keep cleaning carts and equipment in a sanitary and operational state, storing them in designated areas.
- Foster a safe work environment by utilizing wet floor signs, personal protective equipment (PPE), and ensuring that cleaning supplies are not left unattended.
- Utilize cleaning chemicals and equipment safely and effectively, ensuring correct dilution and labeling.
- Inform supervisors of equipment requiring repairs and report safety hazards promptly.
- Communicate with supervisors about workflow challenges and address any deficiencies in a proactive manner.
- Build and maintain professional relationships with hospital staff, ensuring patient confidentiality is preserved.
- Demonstrate effective communication skills to provide accurate information and assistance to patients and visitors.
- Implement service recovery strategies to address problems or service interruptions as they arise.
- Collaborate with colleagues across departments, respecting diverse perspectives and recognizing contributions from others.
