About the Role
We are seeking an EHS Program Manager dedicated to enhancing and scaling safety initiatives within OpenAI’s corporate office environments. This position centers on workplace safety, ergonomics, business continuity, emergency preparedness, regulatory compliance, and employee wellness within a rapidly growing and dynamic organization.
You will work collaboratively with Workplace, Corporate Security, HR, Real Estate, and international site leaders to develop and implement standardized safety frameworks that align with local regulations while adhering to global EHS standards.
This role demands sound judgment, the capability to navigate various regulatory landscapes, and a pragmatic approach to building scalable programs.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee daily EHS programs for corporate office environments across multiple locations.
Perform site inspections, job hazard analyses, and risk assessments while ensuring timely corrective actions.
Guarantee compliance with OSHA, Cal/OSHA, international regulations, fire codes, and local authorities.
Establish and maintain emergency preparedness programs, evacuation plans, business continuity templates, and conduct annual drills.
Assist emergency response teams, evacuation wardens, and global readiness evaluations.
Manage and develop the global ergonomics program, including assessments, equipment recommendations, and risk analysis.
Support incident reporting, investigations, regulatory monitoring, compliance documentation, and metrics tracking.
Collaborate cross-functionally with Workplace, Corporate Security, Legal, HR, and Real Estate on safety and emergency preparedness initiatives.
