- Under appropriate supervision, you will engage in simplified designs of piping, controls, and equipment selection for Plumbing and Fire Protection systems in building design. You may also assist with HVAC designs as needed.
- Participate in Revit/BIM modeling of construction drawings for plumbing and fire protection systems through all phases from schematic design to construction administration, with supervisory oversight. You may also support Revit/BIM modeling for HVAC systems.
- Assist or coordinate with specifications as part of the design team.
- Draft preliminary reports for review by senior engineers.
- Review submittals and shop drawings to ensure compliance with contract documents.
- Conduct job site visits to verify existing conditions and monitor construction progress, which may require physical walkthroughs of the site.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
HERE'S WHAT YOU'LL NEED
- A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering is required by the hire date, with a preference for candidates from an ABET-accredited program.
- Knowledge and application skills in advanced heat transfer, solar energy, and fluid dynamics in the design of plumbing, fire protection, and HVAC systems.
- Relevant internship experience is preferred.
- EIT or LEED accreditation is a plus.
- Strong communication, teamwork, and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects effectively.
- Experience with computer applications related to design is advantageous.
