Now is the opportune time to take action! In addition to competitive base salaries, USBP is offering up to $60,000 in additional recruitment incentives. Our annual base salary ranges from $51,632 to $92,219 depending on grade level (GL-5/7).
Salary and Benefits

Newly appointed Border Patrol Agents can also qualify for up to $20,000 in recruitment incentives, with the potential for an additional $40,000 retention incentive over four years.
Duty Locations
Please note that duty assignments may include prioritized locations along the Southwest Border, which may require relocation. Your duty location will be determined by USBP based on operational needs, impacting pay rates accordingly. This is a career ladder position with potential for advancement through various grade levels (GL-5, GL-7, GL-9, GS-11, and GS-12).
