As an Enterprise Sales Engineer at Datadog, you will leverage your technical expertise to enhance our sales presentations, conduct engaging product demonstrations, and support technical evaluations (POVs). In this role, you will play a crucial part in qualifying and closing opportunities with customers and partners while actively collaborating with our product team to prioritize features based on valuable feedback from customers, competitors, and partners.

Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the Sales team to effectively communicate Datadog's comprehensive value proposition, vision, and strategy to clients.
- Manage technical interactions with customers during the trial phase, ensuring they understand Datadog’s value and addressing any concerns to drive successful outcomes.
- Utilize your advanced technical skills and competitive knowledge to technically close complex sales opportunities.
- Deliver impactful product and technical presentations to prospective clients.
- Maintain detailed and accurate records of customer interactions in the CRM, including feedback on wins and losses.
- Proactively engage with both customers and Datadog’s business and technical teams regarding product feedback and insights into the competitive landscape.
Ideal Candidate Profile:
- You are passionate about educating clients on observability risks that impact their businesses and are skilled at developing and executing evaluation plans with them.
- You possess exceptional written and verbal communication skills, enabling you to articulate both the business value and technical advantages of our offerings.
- You have experience in programming or scripting with languages such as Java, Python, Ruby, Go, Node.JS, PHP, or .NET.
- You bring at least 3 years of experience in a Sales Engineering or DevOps Engineering role.
- You are comfortable with travel, with the ability to travel up to 45% of the time.
