We are currently seeking a seasoned sales professional to join our team as an Enterprise Account Executive focused on State and Local Government. This role requires a proven track record in meeting sales quotas and cultivating relationships within the State and Local Government sector.
This position will manage Local Government accounts within the Southeast Territory and report directly to the Regional Director of Public Sector Sales.
Your Responsibilities Include:
- Navigating intricate government procurement processes and cycles.
- Understanding and responding to Requests for Proposals (RFPs) and Requests for Quotes (RFQs).
- Building and maintaining relationships with key decision-makers in State and Local Government agencies.
- Keeping abreast of government regulations and compliance requirements concerning software procurement.
- Customizing sales presentations and proposals to meet the specific needs and challenges of State and Local Government.
- Surpassing software and service sales quotas.
- Executing a solution-oriented sales process that engages multiple stakeholders within accounts of 2,000 to 10,000 employees.
- Identifying and pursuing new business opportunities within existing customers by analyzing and proactively addressing high-value needs across various departments and agencies.
- Leveraging existing relationships to enhance Smartsheet’s presence in other departments and drive revenue growth during contract renewals.
- Articulating and demonstrating Smartsheet’s unique organizational solutions and functional value.
- Creating executive awareness, managing sales pipelines, and driving bookings growth within your territory.
- Facilitating and overseeing partnerships with Sales Engineers, Solutions Consultants, Sales Development, and Customer Success teams to manage the entire sales cycle and close business.
- Developing customized proposals aimed at achieving customer desired outcomes.
- Utilizing sales enablement tools to diagnose business needs and personalize how Smartsheet can add value to the customer’s operations.
- Tracking and utilizing key metrics to enhance performance and outcomes.
