We are seeking an Engineering Manager 2 to steer our Identity & Notifications team within the Core Platform organization. This essential team is responsible for ensuring secure and seamless user access, dependable communication, and the technical infrastructure that supports millions of small business users. As a vital contributor in our AI-driven engineering environment, you will lead a talented group of engineers in enhancing the systems that make Homebase secure, efficient, and reliable.
In this role, you will manage a team of 5 engineers to design and implement critical infrastructure, working closely with our Trust & Security, Data, and broader Engineering teams. Together, you will help shape and develop the next generation of authentication, authorization, and messaging solutions at Homebase.
Lead, mentor, and nurture a team of 5 engineers (IC1–IC4), cultivating a culture of technical excellence, psychological safety, and agility.
Execute a 12-month roadmap aimed at launching a new Identity data model, modernizing Authorization, and enhancing Authentication systems.
Collaborate cross-functionally with Trust & Security, Data, and Core Engineering to ensure seamless integrations and exceptional reliability.
Maintain strong alignment with the Core Platform mission: empowering scalable, secure, and efficient systems throughout the Homebase ecosystem.
Guide the team in leveraging AI tools for development efficiency, reinforcing our AI-centric engineering approach.
Ensure operational excellence through observability tools that monitor performance, reliability, and service delivery.
Drive ongoing improvements in code quality, testing, and release velocity.
