Opportunity Overview
Each project presents unique challenges, and contributors may:
- Craft complex energy engineering problems that mirror professional practices;
- Assess AI solutions for accuracy, underlying assumptions, and constraints;
- Verify calculations or simulations using Python libraries such as NumPy, Pandas, and SciPy;
- Refine AI reasoning to meet industry-standard logic;
- Implement structured scoring criteria for multi-step problems.
Candidate Profile
This role is ideal for energy engineers with Python expertise who are open to part-time, non-permanent projects. Preferred qualifications include:
- A degree in Energy Engineering or related fields such as Electrical Engineering, Power Systems Engineering, or Renewable Energy Engineering;
- A minimum of 3 years of professional experience in energy engineering;
- Excellent written English proficiency (C1/C2);
- Strong command of Python for numerical validation;
- A stable internet connection.
Having professional certifications (e.g., PE, CEng, EMP, CEM) and experience in international or applied projects is advantageous.

Time Commitment
For this project, tasks are estimated to require approximately 10–20 hours per week during active phases, based on project requirements. This is an estimate and not a guaranteed workload, applicable only while the project is active.
Compensation Structure
- Remuneration for contributions, with rates up to $12/hour*
- Either a fixed project rate or individual rates based on project specifics;
- Some projects may offer additional incentive payments.
*Note: Rates may vary based on expertise, skills assessment, location, project needs, and other factors. Higher rates may be offered to highly specialized experts, while lower rates could apply during onboarding or in non-core project phases. Payment details will be provided per project.
