Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee a dedicated team of End User engineers in developing and delivering end-user laptops/desktops, software, voice and video hardware, and mobile devices.
- Manage IT incidents, ensuring timely resolution or escalation to the appropriate team.
- Coordinate software installation and deployment for end-user systems.
- Maintain security and policy compliance during technical operations.
- Contribute to the creation of technical documentation, training materials, and procedural guidelines.
- Execute emergency and scheduled administrative tasks, including maintenance, upgrades, and configuration changes.
- Lead and participate in IT projects as directed by the project manager.
- Provide application and OS maintenance and support services directly to users or service delivery functions.
- Investigate and resolve performance issues, conducting diagnostic gathering and troubleshooting.
- Collaborate effectively with colleagues across various IT specializations, including IT Service Desk, Infrastructure Services, Network and Telephony support, Information Security, and vendors.
- Manage resource allocation for planned and reactive work across Manchester, Leeds, London, and Edinburgh, including participation in out-of-hours support rota.
- Oversee Windows and macOS device management through mobile device management (MDM), ensuring compliance with security policies.
- Administer and support Office 365 applications and services, handling user access and ongoing maintenance.
- Manage and maintain Audio Visual and video-conferencing equipment to facilitate seamless collaboration among offices and remote staff.
