About the Role
We are seeking a proactive and dedicated individual with a keen interest in physical security to join our team as an Embedded Physical Security Operations Centre (PSOC) Analyst for a prestigious client in the global financial sector. Reporting directly to the embedded manager, you will be part of a dynamic 24/7 team of security professionals providing critical services including access control, CCTV surveillance, incident response, threat monitoring, and travel security assistance from our state-of-the-art PSOC located in the vibrant heart of London’s financial district.
In your role as a PSOC Analyst, your primary focus will be on monitoring physical security operations and, with the appropriate training, disseminating mass communications regarding global events that may affect the safety of our personnel and valuable assets.
You will serve as a crucial point of escalation, coordination, and communication during crises, acting as a security concierge to engage with various business functions and ensure a comprehensive approach to addressing their needs and concerns. Approximately one-third of your responsibilities will include strategic and tactical intelligence analysis and reporting, such as developing travel security assessments and conducting horizon scanning.
This position requires a commitment of 6 days on and 4 days off, rotating through shifts in our London office, including day shifts (7:00 am – 3:00 pm), evening shifts (3:00 pm - 11:00 pm), and night shifts (11:00 pm – 7:00 am). You will receive compensatory time off for working bank holidays.
As the PSOC is operational 24/7, you must be flexible to work weekends and public holidays as per the shift schedule.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver continuous 24/7 monitoring and management of security operations, including CCTV feeds, access control, and door alarms.
- Track and monitor business travelers using global tracking tools to support the travel security program.
- Provide security assistance, respond to inquiries, and serve as the security concierge for employees, visitors, and vendors.
- Conduct regular patrols of the premises and assist with visitor escorting as necessary.
- Support the creation of temporary and permanent identification badges for employees, visitors, and contractors, ensuring appropriate access levels.
- Respond to calls for medical assistance from staff.
- Assist first responders and medical and law enforcement personnel as required.
- Maintain regular security checks on staff, assets, and access points, reporting any hazardous conditions to security management.
- Follow the client’s escalation procedures to notify security management of critical incidents, unsafe conditions, or technical failures.
- Create accurate communication logs by documenting incidents in dedicated case management databases.
