SUMMARY
Lead and manage a dynamic Electrical Engineering team to achieve excellence in related engineering activities.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Deliver comprehensive electrical and software engineering support throughout the design, development, inspection, and testing phases of our products and services. Ensure the electrical and software engineering teams are sufficiently staffed and equipped to succeed. Provide strategic leadership and technical guidance for product and service development initiatives. Assess and address the training and development needs of the engineering staff. Serve as the primary point of communication with customers regarding engineering projects and activities. Oversee the responsibilities typical of Electrical and Senior Electrical Engineers. Perform additional duties as required to maintain a productive and efficient work environment. Ensure all operations align with Atec International Standards Organization (AS9100/ISO) policies, promptly reporting any discrepancies to the relevant manager or supervisor.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
Provide operational oversight for electrical engineering design and support activities. Carry out supervisory duties in compliance with organizational policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training electrical/software engineering staff; planning, assigning, and directing work assignments; evaluating performance; rewarding and disciplining staff; and addressing employee concerns and issues.
AS9100/ISO SPECIFIC DUTIES
Familiarize yourself with Atec’s Quality Policy and company objectives. Understand and follow the required AS9100/ISO-specific Procedures and Work Instructions. Complete all necessary records as per Procedures and Work Instructions. Engage in the Atec Improvement Machine (AIM) initiatives as appropriate. Attend AS9100/ISO training sessions as required. Cooperate with auditors. Report any deviations to the corresponding manager or supervisor.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
A Bachelor's degree (B.S.) in Electrical Engineering, Software Engineering, or a related field is required, along with eight to ten years of applicable experience and/or training, or a combination of education and experience. Proficiency in software including LabVIEW graphical software, Ladder Logic software, spreadsheets, project management tools, database management, presentation graphics, and word processing is preferred.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
Must meet all qualifications for job descriptions requiring security clearance.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
The role requires frequent, extended air travel and the physical ability to stand, walk, and sit for long periods during the normal course of daily operations.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
Exposure to standard risks associated with travel, electrical power systems, and occasional moving mechanical parts is expected.
