AECOM's Water group is actively seeking an enthusiastic Electrical, Instrumentation & Controls Programmer – Engineer in Training (EIT) to contribute to a significant capital project involving advanced Industrial Control Systems (ICS) in the water and wastewater treatment sector. Candidates should have hands-on experience with the application and startup of industrial process controls.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop designs and specifications for control and instrumentation systems, particularly focusing on SCADA & PLC systems.
- Design and specify instrumentation and process control devices for various applications including water/wastewater treatment and light industrial operations.
- Configure and implement industrial control systems, including graphics, databases, and interconnected systems.
- Engage in the deployment of sophisticated software applications and automated control strategies.
- Create electrical distribution system designs, including Motor Control Center (MCC) layouts and motor schematics.
- Compile engineering documentation, including load lists, cable schedules, and equipment inventories.
- Participate in simulations, testing, and commissioning of process control applications.
- Assist in troubleshooting and resolving system-related issues.
- Support the team in meeting engineering deliverables (e.g., drawings and specifications) that adhere to applicable regulations, standards, corporate procedures, and sound engineering practices.
